Focus India 10 was successfully concluded with student presentations on May 7, 2010.

Now the time has come to say thank you to the sponsors, supporters and bid good bye to the project team, PR team, as well as all the participants of Focus India 2010. Heartfelt thanks to all of you! I am keenly aware of the fact that the project would not have been as successful as it was this year without you, and your support.

Just a couple of words about the final presentations that were made on May , 2010, the concluding event of Focus India 2010:

The list of topics on which presentations were made is accessible here!

Examples presentations are accessible below:

1. Climate Change & India

2. Entering Indian Market

Mails have gone out to the current second year students of the International Management bachelor program inviting them to apply for positions in the project team of Focus India 2011. I plan to have a project team, worthy of the teams from the previous years, up and running by September. They will start the process of getting the next PR team together, collecting participants, approaching and winning sponsors and supporters, ... with the one and only goal of ensuring that Focus India 2011 will also be a great success!

The new project team will take over the website in September 2010.

Till then, thank you all for all the support!
Chandra Holm

Preparatory Seminar 2010
Saturday, 13 February 2010 00:00

We look back to an incredible one-week intensive preparatory seminar at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland. The seminar took place from Monday 8th until Friday 12th February 2010 in Olten.

It was marked by several speeches about business, economic, social, religious, and political issues and a visit to the Museum Rietberg in Zurich. We were very proud to welcome experts from various backgrounds, who shared their knowledge and experiences about India. With this year's motto "Nurturing Knowledge - Breaking Barriers" the seminar helped to reduce prejudices regarding India - by opening minds and learning from its ancient history, multifaceted culture and emerging economical power.

The seminar was concluded with a panel discussion and the director of FHNW Prof. Dr. Ruedi Nützi handing over yellow suitcases to the project teams of Focus India, Insight China, and Networking New York due to the university's "10 Years Global Know-How".

To find out more about this fascinating week, please click here to see some pictures of the seminar and have a look at the first newsletter, which can be found on our homepage in a week's time.
